Santa Fe Fuego Defeat Alpine Cowboys 13-7

July 17 2021 The Santa Fe Fuego defeated the Alpine Cowboys 13-7 after collecting 18 hits at Fort Marcy Park. Santa Fe scored twice in the first inning and four times in the second to take a 6-1 lead, then added three runs in the seventh and four in the eighth. Alpine scored three times in the ninth but could not complete the comeback.

Ryan B. led the Fuego offense with three hits and four RBI, including a home run. Ryan Bernardy went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI, while Philip Buckingham added three hits and an RBI. Harrison Moore and Jared Gay each had two hits and an RBI, with Gay also drawing a walk and scoring twice.

Alpine received two hits and two RBI from Christian Armstrong, who hit two home runs, while James Prockish added two hits, a home run and an RBI. Alex Canty also collected two hits and drove in a run as the Cowboys finished with nine hits.

Sean Jackson earned the win for Santa Fe after allowing four hits and three earned runs over five innings with three strikeouts. August Voight worked the final four innings for the save, allowing five hits and four earned runs while striking out four. Alpine starter Joe Raab took the loss despite pitching seven innings, surrendering 15 hits and nine runs, six earned, with six strikeouts.
