Roswell Invaders Rout Santa Fe Fuego 26-7

July 19 2024 The Roswell Invaders scored 10 runs in the third inning and 9 more in the ninth to defeat the Santa Fe Fuego 26-7. Roswell finished with 22 hits and 10 home runs, while Santa Fe collected 11 hits and two homers. The Invaders led 12-0 after three innings and maintained control throughout the game.

Robert Malone led Roswell with six hits in seven at-bats, four runs, four RBI and two home runs. Luis Moreno added two hits, four runs and six RBI with two homers, while Brett Lindsay went 3-for-5 with three RBI and a home run. Jose Sanchez and Shane Morrow each had three or more hits, and Lucas Scott hit two home runs and drove in three runs.

Santa Fe received three hits and three RBI from Robert Starr, who hit one of the Fuegos two home runs. Zeke Hass went 2-for-4 with a home run, one run and one RBI. The Fuego scored three runs in the fifth inning and two in the eighth but could not overcome Roswells early and late offensive surges.

Miguel Sierra earned the win for Roswell after allowing nine hits and five runs, four earned, in seven innings. He walked two and struck out six. Mateo Fergurson took the loss for Santa Fe, surrendering nine hits and 12 runs, six earned, in 2.2 innings while striking out five and walking two. Jordan Rodriguez worked a scoreless ninth for the Invaders with two strikeouts.
