The Alpine Cowboys jumped out early and powered past the Santa Fe Fuego 23-11 on June 4, 2026.
Alpine scored eight runs in the first inning and never looked back, finishing with 19 hits and 12
walks in the win.
Cade Labruyere led the Cowboys offense, going 4-for-7 with a home run, two doubles, three runs
scored, and six RBIs.
Michael Prisco had a huge night as well, going 5-for-6 with five runs scored, a double, two stolen
bases, and an RBI.
James Prockish added two hits, a home run, four RBIs, and three runs scored, while Zach Tallerman
drove in four runs. Trevor Durr reached base five times, scored four runs, and added an RBI.
Santa Fe battled throughout the game and finished with 14 hits. Ricky Rivas went 3-for-3 with three
runs scored, an RBI, two walks, and three stolen bases. Terrance McGowan and Nick Tarantino each
homered for the Fuego, with Tarantino driving in two runs.
Connor Hickey, Sam Freedman, and Layne Sanders each had two hits for Santa Fe, while Ivan Salas
added two RBIs.
Alpine’s offense scored in seven of the first eight innings, including three runs in the third,
three in the seventh, and four in the eighth to put the game out of reach.
The Cowboys improved to 4-6 with the victory, while Santa Fe fell to 3-5.
