North Platte scored in seven of nine innings and finished with 24 runs on 16 hits while Santa Fe had 7 runs on 14 hits.

Carson McCurdy homered and drove in three runs for North Platte. Cy Rushing went 3-for-5 with four RBIs, while Jake Boucher and Tommy Ramos each had three hits. Garrett Flaagan added a two-run double in the eighth inning.

Santa Fe was led by Alex Elliott, who went 4-for-5 with two RBIs. Garrett Esposito homered in the eighth and Connor Hickey added two hits and two runs.

North Platte pitchers Brock Pare and Garrett Flaagan combined for 14 strikeouts. Pare struck out 11 over six innings, and Flaagan finished the final three innings.

The 80s broke the game open early with three runs in the first and five more in the second, building an 8-2 lead. Santa Fe scored four runs in the fifth, but North Platte answered with three in the seventh and five in the eighth to put the game away.
